Srinagar, July 23: Students from Central University has appealed authorities to waive off their admission fee in wake of prevailing Covid-19 pandemic.

Hundreds of students who pursue different courses have been directed to pay admission fee till 28 of this month. The students say the fee is a burden for them as everyone is suffering in this pandemic and finding it hard to earn a living.

“There has been no economic activity since the lockdown and we fail to understand why University is forcing us to deposit fee at such a short notice. We are unable to venture out due to lockdown while University authorities are compelling us to deposit fee till 28 July,” Spokesperson Central University Students Federation told News Agency KNT.

The students sought the intervention of higher ups particularly Advisor to the LG and also made a fervent appeal to Vice Chancellor Central University to look into the matter.
