Man electrocuted, minor drowned to death in North Kashmir

Baramulla, July 24: A 45-year-old man was electrocuted to death in Tilagam village of Pattan in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Friday.

Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a 45-year-old man came in contact with a live wire following which he was shifted to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

A police official identified the deceased as Abdul Ahad Ganie, son of Ghulam Ahmed Ganie of Ganie Mohalla Tilagam.

Meanwhile, police officials while confirming the incident said that the body has been handed over to the family members for the last rites.

In another incident, a four-year-old boy drowned in a stream when he was bathing with other fellows in Panzpora area of Sopore.

However, the locals present there retrieved his body and rushed him to the nearby hospital where doctors declared him dead.

An official identified the deceased as Faizan Ahmad Lone, son of Hamidullah Lone of Panzipora Sopore.

Meanwhile, a police team rushed to the spot and has taken cognizance of the incident—(KNO)
