Kupwara, Aug 6: A soldier died after he slipped into a nallah in Machil area of Kupwara district on Thursday.
Official sources told GNS that army’s lodged a written report in police station that a soldier identified as Aamir Hussain Wani of 56 RR slipped into the Katwar Nar Nallah and was found unconscious. Later, he was shifted to local camp for first aid where doctors declared him brought dead.
They said police have launched proceedings 174 Crpc. “The body has been shifted to Public Health Centre Kalaroose for postmortem,” they added. (GNS)
