The PPE kits were sent through ward member but nobody among the family knew how to wear them and what precautions were required to taken,” a close neighbor of the victim, who is also president of a local Markz Auqaf Islamia told GNS.

“The locals and family risked their lives and completed the burial. We demand there should be an inquiry and those found guilty of dereliction of duty should be dealt with sternly,” he said, adding, “Lives of locals have been jeopardized.”

When contacted, BMO concerned that said an employee was deputed but “unfortunately he did not follow the order.”
“Action as warranted under rules will be taken against the employee,” the BMO told GNS, adding, “Protective kits, gloves, masks etc., were provided to the family for the burial.” (GNS)
