Burglars steal gold from the house of policeman in North Kashmir

Bandipora, Aug 30: Burglars stole gold worth Rs 2 lakh from the house of a policeman in Nesbal area of North Kashmir’s Sumbar Tehsil of Bandipora.

Reports said that burglars entered into the house of a policeman identified as Bashir Ramzan Bhat at Nesbal Sumbal during the intervening night of August 29 and 30 and stole gold worth Rs 2 lakh.

One of the family members Mushtaq Ahmed told news agency KNT that burglars entered into the room where nobody was present. They ransacked all the belonging and stole gold. He said cash was not present in the room.

The house belongs to the policeman who is presently posted in South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Family lodged a report at police station Sumbal.
A police official said that investigation has been taken up. A team of police officials inspected the site and collected evidence with regard to incident. (KNT)
