Body of Intruder who was shot dead at LOC in Uri returned to PAK authorities

Uri, Sep 17:The body of a intruder who was shot dead by Border Security Force (BSF) in ‘No Man’s Land’ at Line of Control (LoC) in Dulanja village of this border town of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district was on Thursday afternoon handed-over to Pakistan Administrated (PAK) authorities.

“Both armies were in touch with each other and this afternoon the body was handed over to authorities on the other side of LOC via Kaman Post,” SHO Uri, Mohammad Ashraf told GNS.

The deceased has been identified as Kamran Chack son of Mohammad Nazir, a resident of Bandi Sochian tehsil of district Hattian Bala in Pakistan Administrated (PAK).

Ashraf said that a close relative of the deceased from the other side of the border identified the man.

Officials from the police, Army, civil administration and health department were present on the spot.

The intruder was shot dead on Tuesday after BSF’s Coy/70 Bn observed an individual moving suspiciously across the fence ahead of own post at Dulanja and was fired by the sentry after ignoring multiple warnings.(GNS)
