Uri, Oct 2: An army man shot himself with his service rifle in north kashmir’s baramulla district on thursday night officials said.
Police sources told news agency KNT that army rifleman identified as Raksheet Kumar son of Kuldeep Kumar shot himself dead by using his service rifle at Jack Post Uri.
The deceased was the resident of Ramgarh Samba district of Jammu region and was affiliated with 2 Jammu Kashmir Light Infantry.
A police official while confirming the incident said that the soldier died on spot. He said a case in this regard has been registered and investigation set into motion. (KNT)
