After thrashing chicken-seller troopers killed his chickens in Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 17: Instead of taking action against some stone-pelters, Para-military troopers thrashed a chicken seller, crushed his chickens to death and broke his cell phone in Saidakadal-Rainawari stretch of Srinagar city.

The Chicken Seller accused CRPF men of thrashing him without any reason. “Some youth pelted stones on them (CRPF) and in return they pounced upon me, hit my head with gun butts, broke my cell phone and put some of my chickens to death,” the chicken seller told KNT.

“I have been running this chicken shop from past 15 years and never indulged in an act that could go against law. This time, I was targeted for the fault of my none,” he said.

The chicken seller whose video is also viral on social media said it is irony that in a fit of rage these troopers put some of his chickens to death. “I talked to police and they assured action. After beating me, these CRPF men threatened me of dire consequence. Those who pelted stones fled away from the scene and these troopers targeted me while I was busy selling chickens,” he said.
