Sopore, Nov 28: A 19-year-old youth from Sopore area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district has made his entire locality especially his parents proud after writing his debut poetry book based on pain, poverty and other issues.
Saqlain Mushtaq, who hails from Naseem Bagh Sopore, has released his debut poetry book “Trampled Desires”. Saqlain is pursuing BA in English (Hons) in Government Degree College (GDC) Sopore.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Saqlain released his debut poetry book in which he has written a variety of poetries especially those based on Mysticism, Pain, Poverty and Love.
The author of Trampled Desires is fond of writing and is showing his skills from the last six years.
Some of his written pieces have been published by Art and Cultural Academy Srinagar. He has co-authored many anthologies.
Author credits his success to his grandfather, father and uncle, who he said has helped him in shaping his life all along irrespective of the situations.
He told KNO that the poetry book written by him was completed in two years. The book is also available in the market as well as on Amazon.
Saqlain said that hundreds of copies of the poetry were sold in the very first weeks after the book was released.
He said he also has worked in a few poetry anthologies as a co-author and has written for many national magazines so far—(KNO)
