At 21, Qazigund youth pens two books on photography

Qazigund, Dec 15: A 21-year-old youth from Qazigund belt in Southern Kashmir has written so far two books on photography and is presently getting training to become an artist.

Mutahir Showkat, a resident of Qazigund Anantnag, who has bachelors in engineering from LDRP-ITR Gandhi Nagar Gujarat has also received training in cinematography.

While talking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Mutahir said that he was fond of photography and used to click pictures since his childhood.

Mutahir has written two books so far -Photography Tips for Beginners and Photography Editing and Editors- in which all matters related to photography have been discussed in detail.

“My books are 100 pages and are available on Amazon and Google play store,” he said, adding that so far he has received dozens of awards and certificates in photography at different stages.

“We are living in a conflict zone and everyone here is disturbed. So, we must engage ourselves in some activities besides exploring beautiful places so that we can feel a bit relaxed,” he said.

Mutahir said he wants to become an artist and cinematographer for which he is getting training outside the valley.

“There is a need to engage our youth in sports activities, photography through which we can feel relaxed, and moreover remain away from bad habits and earn a livelihood as well,” he said—(KNO)
