Srinagar, Dec 15: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) senior leaders on Tuesday said that Muslims in India are safer than Pakistan and the people of Kashmir should not fall into false traps and green heavens.
Addressing party workers regarding the District Council Development (DDC) polls in Khrew in Awantipora and BK Pora in Budgam, the leaders as per a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) urged people to stay away from such people who are saying Indian Muslims are treated as second class citizens.
On the occasion, BJP senior leader and National Spokesman Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said Muslims in India are safer than living in Pakistan. “They are equality among citizens and no difference between any religion,” he said.
“There are some anti-national elements, who are misleading people on several traps and showing them green heavens, which will not work now,” he said, adding that Muslims in India are more tolerant and secular. “Brotherhood with Hindus and Sikhs cannot be seen in any part of the world.”
“BJP is committed to the development and Gupkar leaders have created mistrust among the people. “People are voting for development and have rejected the traditional parties who deceived them over the past seven decades,” he said.
Hussain said people will see the dawn of development in upcoming years. BJP is serious about DDC and panchayat elections and will win a majority of seats,” he said.
Shanawaz appealed to people to come forward to support the BJP to see the vision of development. We are committed and dedicated to our vision and mission in the region, he added.
On the occasion, MP Rajya Sabha and National Spokesperson Dr Syed Zafar ul Islam said that the BJP is contesting the DDC elections only for the development of Jammu and Kashmir and not for manipulating the common masses.
“We will empower the local youth and there will be more job opportunities in the future. Kashmir is seeing a change and will be upgraded with world-class infrastructure,” he said.
BJP J&K General Secretary & Incharge Kashmir Affairs Vibodh Gupta said that the time of the dynasty politics and the dynasty rule has ended in J&K and that the region will feel the difference soon.
He said it is positive that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the youth in Kashmir during the ongoing elections and despite pressure from separatists and militants groups and people are coming forward.
“The people have rejected dynastic politics openly during the 6th phases of ongoing elections and they should be ashamed for seeing the ground situation,” he said.
Party senior leader Dr. Darkshan Andrabi along with other leaders were present on the occasion and urged people to support the agenda of development and prosperity in the region—(KNO)
