Srinagar, Mar 20: Jammu and Kashmir Civil Engineering Graduates Association (JKCEGA) on Saturday expressed its pleasure and gratitude to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha led administration for expediting the regularization of incharge promotions on substantive basis in Jal Shakti department.
In a statement issued to the the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the association has hailed the order of regularization of 137 Executive Engineers on Substantive basis issued on 20-03-2021 by the Jal Shakti Department vide No. 74-JK(JSD) of 2021 dated 19.03.2021.
Jal Shakti Department has confirmed the services of 137 Exens, 29 S.E’s and 06 Chief Engineers in recent past, ever large regularization in the history of the department.
Pertinently, most of the officers who have been confirmed in their grades and Services have superannuated from the active services and this regularization will eradicate the menace of adhocism in the engineering departments and will pave way for regularization of the incumbent officers at their substantive posts.
The spokesperson of the association expressed his gratitude to LG, Advisor (B) to LG, Chief Secretary and Commissioner/Secretary, JSD for addressing the genuine demand of the engineers and fast tracking the regularization.
The spokesperson further requested the administration to fill up all the vacancies at all levels so that the vital projects of national importance could be completed at the earliest. He said that such initiatives will boost the morale of the disgruntled cadre and will motivate them to work with more zeal and content. “We are quite upbeat that the department under the able administration of Jb. M. Raju will continue with such employee friendly policies and lead the department to its new heights,” he said.
JK CEGA also expressed hope that other issues which have been raised from time to time will also be considered by the LG led administration on merit. JK CEGA also requested the LG, J&K to consider their request for an appointment so that they could apprise him of the ground situation of cadre—(KNO)
