Srinagar, Mar 23: A youth from Srinagar who started his career in the year 2003 as a model is now a Bollywood film producer in Mumbai.
Aadil Khan, 33, a resident of Chattabal area in Srinagar, in 2003 set forth his journey to Chandigarh for modelling. Soon, he got an offer from Lee models, a company that had developed many celebrities.
Khan while talking with—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that he was interested in modelling and acting since his childhood.
“In 2003 I started my career and got assignments like ramp shows, commercial ads and print shoots as a lead model. In 2006, I won the title of Mr North India,” he said.
Khan also featured in the reality show KALAKARS on Jaipur Doordarshan but couldn’t make much impact and had to face rejection.
“It was then I realized that my passion lies more within acting. So, I took the rejection in a very positive way. It motivated me to join the theatre and study acting,” he said, adding that he later did workshops and doing Tele Films for India TV and a serial for DD URDU as well.
After shifting to Mumbai in 2010, Khan started his own film Production house in Bollywood named Rock Nation Films and did some short films, ad films and documentaries under the same banner.
Khan said he has also done a promotion ad film for JK tourism and currently there are few feature films in the pipeline on which the production team is working rigorously for the desired output.
On his dream project, Khan said he aspire of writing a script on the homeland and make a movie that will boost the morale of people who fight tooth and nail to achieve their dreams but are unsung heroes.
“Currently we are working on the script and it will take some time to finalise the changes, I am very excited about this project,” he said.
Khan also got a real hero award recently for promoting tourism in J&K and generating employment avenues for the youth of J&K—(KNO)
