Jammu, Apr 06: Moved by the helplessness of people after facing difficulties, a Jammu-based banker has helped nearly 700 aspirants to qualify for different competitive examinations across Jammu and Kashmir by delivering lectures online free of cost besides providing important required study material.

Sumit Puri, a resident of Peer Mitha in the Jammu division presently rendering his services in Canara Bank, started a YouTube channel and post-study lectures to help the students of remote areas across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

With time, Sumit introduced more people to his YouTube channel who also started to prepare lectures from home and help aspirants across J&K to crack the vital comparative examinations.

Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Sumit said that in the past two years over 600 aspirants from different remote areas of Jammu and Kashmir have qualified for various comparative examinations without paying for the lectures and study material.

” In 2018 I saw aspirants from all the remote areas putting up in Jammu to get tuitions and prepare for a competitive examination which disheartened me to a greater extend seeing them suffer for want of quality education,” he said.

Sumit said that last year during the lockdown phase all the aspirants in touch with them were made to undergo several tests on the website.

“In the Panchayat Accounts Assistant (PAA) examination held last year around 350 students of ours qualified with handsome grades and in J&K Bank the score was the same which takes the total number of qualified candidates over 600 in just two years who were not made to pay a single penny,” Sumit claimed.

He said that Imran Ali from Kashmir who topped the J&K Bank recruitment examination was also their student, and he even approached them with a vote of thanks after the results were out.

Sumit said that initially, he faced challenges looking for a good study material.

“I do realize what aspirants face especially those living in remote areas and this free online study will continue to help more and more people in the times to come,” he said.

He also said that their YouTube channel titled TrippleS covers Study Plan, Strategy, and Success.

“Our team members are spread across the UT and some people who contribute with lectures and other important stuff include Waheed, Anjum, Shubam, and Harmeek sir,” Sumit said—(KNO)
