Srinagar, Apr 15: The higher reaches of Kashmir on Thursday morning experienced fresh snowfall while plains received light rains, thus bringing down the temperature across the Valley while the weatherman here predicted more light snow or rainfall in Kashmir till April 18.

Reports reaching the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that Gulmarg, the world famous ski-resort and several higher reaches of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district and other places received fresh snowfall today.

The incessant rains, however, lashed plains of Kashmir, resulting in a dip in the temperature.

Talking to KNO, deputy director meteorological department (MeT), Mukhtar Ahmad said that the wet weather conditions would continue to prevail till April 18 afternoon. “There is possibility of light snowfall in higher reaches of Kashmir and rains in plains in the next few days till April 18 afternoon,” he said.
