Srinagar, May 16: Assistant Labour Commissioner, Srinagar has communicated with Manager J&K Bank, Branch Batamaloo, to credit online the approved assistance of rupees three-crore among 19593 beneficiaries under Building and Other Construction workers Act.

The communiqué letter number ALC/SGR/2021/12-14, of which a replica is in possession of Srinagar-based news agency Global News Service (GNS), reads that “… Cheque for an amount of Rupees 1,95,93,000/- (Rupees One crore ninety lacs ninety-three thousand only) dated: 15-05-2021 under account number: XXXX2012 with the request that the amount of the cheque may kindly be online credited to the 19593 registered beneficiaries under Building and Other Construction workers Act in their individual accounts in the different branches of Jammu and Kashmir Bank Ltd. as per annexure after thorough verification.”

Copies of the letter have been sent to relevant departments for intimation. (GNS)
