Haj-2021: 18-60 yrs age group to be allowed for this year’s pilgrimage, says Haj Committee

Srinagar, May 27: In wake of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Jammu and Kashmir Hajj Committee on Thursday said that people in the age group of 18-60 years will be allowed to perform the Haj-2021.

The Haj Committee in a notification, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), has asked the intending pilgrims to visit the official website of Haj committee of India and also submit their COVID vaccination certificate.

“It is for the information of all intending pilgrims of Haj 2021 that Online Health Verification Process has started for Haj 2021. The Pilgrims need to visit the official website of Haj Committee of India www.hajcommittee.gov.in and to submit the information regarding Corona Vaccine taken by them, besides uploading the Covid Vaccination certificate of the same,” the notification said.

“However, it is further clarified that as per latest guidelines from Saudi Ministry of Health/ HCol, the age group allowed to perform the Haj-2021 is from 18-60 years only,” it added—(KNO)
