Baramulla, Jun 03: The 21-year-old singing sensation Zafar Shah from the small village Rajpora in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district desires to make singing his full-time profession.
Shah’s debut album “Dost Kya Khoob” evoked a huge response from the general public which was released almost a week ago.
Shah, a resident of Rajpora village in Baramulla district, who has recently qualified in 12th standard jumped into the singing line with a desire to make it his profession.
Talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) Zafar said that “I wanted to be a singer when I was studying in 2nd standard. And people have always cherished and appreciated my voice.”
Shah said that two years back he participated in Kashmir Got Talent and emerged as the topper in the show, where the present Municipal Council Chairman Baramulla guided him to take his singing forward.
“I started to listen to legendary singers to learn from them,” he said.
Shah said that his debut solo album has evoked a huge response from the general public.
“Even during the initial days, people have always praised my voice in the functions and reality shows,” he said.
Shah said the recent solo song was his debut and hopefully, in the next 2-3 weeks one more song is scheduled to be released besides more are in pipeline.
“I have completed my 12th standard and the interest is in singing only but as of now all the efforts and desire is to make this as a full-time profession,” Shah said.
“I prefer to give singing more time than anything else as of now,” he said—(KNO)
