Srinagar/Jammu, Jun 9: Amid prevailing Covid scenario, Lieutenant Governor’s office has announced for the cancellation of all pending JKBOSE examinations for the session 2020-21 in Jammu and Kashmir.
A tweet flashed on the official handle of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reads; “In view of safety and well-being of students due to Covid pandemic, all pending JKBOSE Examinations session 2020-21 (Regular/Private) for final exams of class XI and XII cross JKUT for which examination/results are awaited, are canncelled (sic.)”.
The detailed procedure for publishing results along with a scheme of marking will be completed by JKBOSE shortly, it further said.
Pertinent to mention here that the decision has came a week into Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement to cancel the CBSE Class 12 board examinations. (GNS)
