Illegal extraction of soil in agriculture land at Kangan during night hours, invalid permission being used

Gandebal, Nov 6: Illegal extraction is going on in Kangan area of Ganderbal District during night hours and no action has been taken sofar in this regard.

According to sources the illegal extraction is being carried out using post dated invalid permission

Locals said that the illegal excavation of soil can affects the ecology of the area.

According to Contractor permission was granted in april for only 3 days (11, 12, 13 April) but that time he didn’t used the permission for excavating soil at the location. “Now im using this permission” he said.

He further said the excavated soil is being used for development of playground at Kangan.

When KNZ Contacted Tehsildar Kangan Abdul Majeed he said “I dont have knowledge about this, I will take action after as soon as possible”.

According to Patwari Aarif Ahmad he said i have already submitted report to Naib Tehsildar Kangan for action.

When KNZ Contacted DMO Ganderbal Er Zulfikar Shafi he said that that contractor cannot use this permission now. He shoud have sought proper permission again, he said.
