Srinagar, Nov 30: Scores of Contingent Paid Workers (CPW) working in Department of Education Tuesday staged a protest demanding release of their pending DPCs.

The workers under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Contingent Paid Workers Union, as per GNS, had assembled here at Press Enclave to press for their demand.

President All Jammu and Kashmir Contingent Paid Workers Union Abdul Gani Malik while talking to media persons said that they have been suffering from 2017.

“We were getting 50 percent quota under SRO-308”, he said adding DSEK had issued an order last year through which he made respective CEOs as Chairmen to release the pending DPCs of CPWs. However, he said, instead of release of wages the CEOs concerned are only making committees and doing verifications one after the other.
