Govt announces winter vacation for Jammu division

‘Schools up to class 12 to remain closed from Dec 13 to Feb 28’

Srinagar, Dec 07: The government on Tuesday announced winter vacation up to 12th standard for all schools falling in winter zones Jammu division from December-13 to February-28-2022.

Besides, the School Education Department also said that the vacations in the summer areas of the zone shall also observe from December-24 to January-02-2022.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the School Education Department in an order issued on Tuesday said, “All government schools including recognized private schools up to class 12th standard falling in Jammu Division, winter and summer zone areas shall observe vacations from December-13 to February-28-2022 and December-24 to January-02-2022 respectively.

“There will be online interaction of teaching faculty with students through Whatsapp group, Google-meet etcetera at least once in a week,” reads the order.

It also states that the teachers shall remain available for any query or the doubt of any student on phone or Whatsapp.

“The teachers have to ensure completion of all ongoing exams of regular academic session 2020-21 for different classes and in case any default on part of Head of Schools (HoS) in observance of calendar shall attract strict action under rules,” it reads—(KNO)
