Remedial teaching classes during winter vacations by teachers on voluntary basis: Govt

Srinagar, Dec 17: The government on Friday said that it will start remedial teaching classes during winter vacations by teachers on a voluntary basis.

In this regard, Principal Secretary, School Education department said that the move was aimed to enhance the learning outcomes and competency of students as per past practice.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the principal secretary has said that the remedial teaching classes would be held in the Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu region.

The order issued by the government pertaining to the remedial classes read, “In view of present circumstances and to mitigate learning gaps of students, it is ordered that Director School Education, Jammu & Director School Education, Kashmir shall start Remedial Teaching Classes (RTC) during winter vacations 2021-22 by teachers on voluntary basis to enhance learning outcomes and competency of students as per past practice in vogue.”
