Army organizes training workshop for Banihal youth

Udhampur, Mar 17: Army on Thursday said that it took an initiative to train the unemployed youth of Banihal and to direct, channelize the positive energy of youth towards making them self-employed and economically independent by organizing a skill development workshop for training the youth of Banihal to become motor vehicle mechanic.

The one month course is designed to equip youth with adequate knowledge, technical skills, a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reads.

It said that the training for youth will be imparted by professionally competent instructors of India Army w.e.f. 16 Mar 2022 to 15 Apr 2022.

The one month training program includes the theoretical part of Engine system, Brake system, Transmission system, Lubrication system, Suspension system, Cooling system, Steering system, Electrical system .

Followed by the practical session of each system, OJT, fault finding so as to give full confidence to the youth on their skill and learning, it said.

During the inaugural session, the youth expressed their gratitude towards the Army for the noble initiative and providing them an opportunity to acquire skills for employment which can further be developed into a profession and a means of decent livelihood—(KNO)
