Srinagar, Jun 18: A youth from Pahalgam inspired by great legendary singer Nusrat Ali Khan is attracting everyone with his voice.
Uzair Nazir (30) resident of Pahalgam in Anantnag district is self-taught singer as and never received any formal training in music. But with his melodious voice, it seems, he is a born singer.
Uzair while talking to news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that he was very much interested in music since his childhood and have grown up while listening to the songs of great Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
“Though with limited resources available, I have started giving more time towards my passion and singing different songs at different stages,” he said, adding that the praises and responses of people over my songs makes me feel joyous.
“I am very big fan of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan and love to listen and sing his songs and whenever I am invited at any event, I sing songs sung by Nusrat Shab,” he added.
“I believe that there is very much talent in Kashmir, however, there are no such platforms like there are outside, but if you are talented, you will find platform anywhere,” he added.
“Everyone is a born talent but need to think and find the field in which we are well nourished and make your future in it,” he added, while adding that, there are dozens of youth interested in singing learning this art from him—(KNO)
