NH-44 Blockade: Yatris stopped at Yatri Niwas in Chanderkote, Say officials

Srinagar, Jul 08: As Srinagar-Jammu National Highway has been blocked due to landslides, Amarnath Yatri who were coming from Jammu toward Kashmir have been stopped at Yatri Niwas in Chanderkote.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that as traffic has been suspended on the national highway, Yatris coming to Kashmir have been stopped at Yatri SASB Niwas in Chanderkote where arrangements are already in place for them.

He said that once road is cleared, Yatris will be allowed to move towards Kashmir.

Meanwhile, officials told KNO that around one lakh pilgrims have performed Yatra so far.
