“Supreme Court Last Ray Of Hope,” Says Mehbooba Mufti On Article 370

Srinagar, Aug 02: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday said Supreme Court is the last ray of hope as hearing commences in SC on batch of petitions challenging abrogation of Article 370.

“Article 370 is the basis of our relationship with the country and accession,” she said as per Asia News Observer (ANO)

In these times of spreading enmity across India, the Supreme Court of India stands as our last hope, says Mufti.

She said, that Jammu and Kashmir rejected division along religious lines in 1947, choosing to unite with a country based on democratic values.

“While the region had a unique position, it was respected and assured by the leadership at that time. Today, the whole world looks to the Supreme Court for justice,” she added.
