Uri, Sept 20: In a remarkable initiative to empower women residing in the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir, the Indian Army’s ‘Kalapahar Women Warriors’ conducted an enlightening lecture on ‘Women Empowerment’ at Government Degree College in Uri. The event witnessed the active participation of 250 female students and dedicated college faculties.

This tailor-made lecture aimed to address the unique challenges faced by women in the region, with the goal of inspiring, educating, and fostering positive change within these communities.

The event received an honorable guest, Mrs. Poonam Dahiya, wife of Uri Military Station Commander, who highlighted the immense potential of women to excel in any field they choose. Her presence served as a source of motivation for the students, encouraging them to pursue their passions wholeheartedly.

The lecture strongly advocated for women to break free from traditional gender roles and explore new horizons. By showcasing inspiring examples of women who have excelled in diverse fields, the lecture aimed to ignite a spark of ambition and determination within the audience.
