Kupwara police assist in extinguishing house fire in Kupwara’s Shartmuqam

Kupwara, Oc 2: In an extraordinary demonstration of bravery and commitment to public safety, SDPO (Sub-Divisional Police Officer) Lolab, Sarfaraz Bashir Ganai, and SHO (Station House Officer) of Lalpora, Naseer Malik, along with their dedicated police team, played a pivotal role in extinguishing a fierce residential house fire in Shartmuqam village, Kupwara district.

The incident unfolded during the early hours of the morning, when Shartmuqam residents were jolted awake by the horrifying sight of flames engulfing a house. Panic quickly spread, prompting a rapid response from the Kupwara police team.

The swift actions of SDPO Sarfaraz Bashir Ganai and SHO Naseer Malik, along with their team’s efficient coordination with the local fire brigade, proved critical in containing the inferno. Their efforts prevented the fire from spreading to nearby residences, earning them the gratitude of the community.

Eyewitnesses at the scene were effusive in their praise for the police team’s unwavering dedication to ensuring residents’ safety.

Local residents have expressed their deep appreciation for the courage and commitment displayed by SDPO Lolab, SHO Lalpora, and their team.

“Thanks to their swift response, the destructive fire was brought under control without any casualties or significant damage to adjacent properties,” said locals.
