Kulgam, Oct 27: District Development Member (DDC) Behibagh Ruby Jan, a dedicated representative of her block, took a stand on a Friday, demanding the availability of basic facilities for her constituents.

She emphasized the pressing issue of inadequate drinking water supply, affecting areas like Kanjikulla, Munandguffan, Sudasnoo Shah Mohallah, Tantray Pora, Daree Pora, and Tungdanoo. To address this, she had already released a substantial payment of Rs 15 lakh to the concerned PHE (Jal Shakti Department).

Moreover, she highlighted the lack of proper electricity infrastructure in villages such as Munandguffan and Manchowa. These areas suffered from a dearth of electric poles and lines, causing electric wires to dangle dangerously from trees, posing serious safety risks.

Ruby Jan had already allocated Rs 35 lakh towards PDD for the improvement of the electric infrastructure in these villages.

She reaffirmed her commitment to being the voice of the people who had entrusted her with their mandate.
