Srinagar, Nov 04: Authorities have projected untrained teachers, Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers and Regularized Rehbar-e-Taleem (RReTs) tutors as one of the ‘threats’ in the School Education Department.

Besides, it has also said that it will be monitoring the objectives of private educational institutes which according to the planning and monitoring department was also posing a threat to the School Education Department.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Planning Department and Monitoring Department in ‘JK Vision Document 2047’ while mentioning the threats in School Education Department has said, “Untrained teachers, ReTs, RReTs in government schools and monitoring the objectives of private educational institutes.”

It also states that Vocational Education schools shall be covered under Vocational Education, as envisioned under NEP-2020. “Basic vocational skills shall be provided.”

About the liberty to study, the document reveals that every student will be given the right to choose any subject of his or her choice and the teaching of the same shall be made available.

Besides, e-content of all the subjects for all the classes will be made available on Digital Platforms like DIKSHA.

“Apart from physical classes, online teaching shall be made available for the transaction of education through blended mode. Blended learning, flipped classrooms and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) form important terminology within this change,” it reads.

According to the JK Vision Document 2047’, students will have more opportunities to learn at different times in different places. “E-learning tools facilitate opportunities for remote, self-paced learning. Classrooms will be flipped, which means the theoretical part is learned outside the classroom, whereas the practical part shall be taught face to face interactively.”

Pertinently, on Friday, KNO reported that Planning Department and Monitoring Department in the proposed vision has revealed, “Considerable chunk of human resource is not skilled in the art of teaching, Over 36000 ReTs or RReTs are not possessing desired level of qualification have been regularized.”—(KNO)
