New Delhi, Nov 7: Glenn Maxwell played the best knock of his career to take Australia to semi-finals in the ICC World Cup 2023. Chasing 292, the five-time champions lost 7 wickets with 91 runs on the board.

Maxwell, who was given a lifeline, launched a brutal assault on the Afghan bowlers. He struck a second hundred of the tournament to enter record books.

He remained unbeaten on 201 runs off 100 balls, with the help of 21 fours and 10 sixes at the Wankhede Stadium.

The star batting line-up collapsed in front of.Naveen-ul-Haq, Azmatullah Omarzai and Rashid Khan but no one could stop the big show as Australia won by 3 wickets.
