Srinagar, Dec 15: J&K Congress has convened a meeting of its Political Affairs Committe (PAC) in Jammu today to discuss Supreme Court’s verdict on Article 370 and current political scenario of J&K.

The meeting is scheduled to be held in early morning and will be chaired by Chairman Political Affairs Committee and former minister Tariq Hameed Karra. The meeting will be attended by Incharge J&K Affairs Rajni Patil, besides members of PAC.

Sources privy to the development told KNS that Congress will chalk out the future political strategy on Article 370 whose nullification was recently seconded by Supreme Court in its verdict on December 11. They said the party will discuss future prospectus of Article 370 and possibilities how it would be challenged through legal course of action.

As per sources Congress has already put forth its view on Supreme Court’s verdict on Article 370 that it differs with the pronouncement of the apex Court. “Despite party’s opinion communicated, there is need to fight for people’s rights. The PAC will chalk out strategy and means of possibilities how to contest SCs decisions in future,” sources told KNS.
