Kashmiri paper machie artist says he exports Christmas items to int’l market

Srinagar, Dec 20: A Kashmiri paper machie artist from Srinagar crafts Christmas decorative items like Santa, Christmas trees and Christmas bells and claims to receive orders from across the globe.

Speaking with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Nayeem Mir said his artistic prowess has garnered attention beyond borders. “I get orders from abroad and sell my products in the global market through platforms like Flipkart and Amazon,” he said.

“My commitment to preserving the centuries-old tradition of paper machie art while infusing it with festive motifs has earned me accolades and orders from across the globe, turning my quaint workshop into a hub of global Christmas fervour,” he added,
