Shab-e-Mehraj tonight, large gathering expected at Dargah Hazratbal shrine

Srinagar, Feb 07: As the sacred occasion of Shab-e-Mehraj, marking the night of ascendance will be observed across the Kashmir valley, a large gathering is expected at Dargah Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar tonight.

The spiritual event, which holds immense significance in Islamic tradition, is observed on the 27th day of the Islamic month of Rajab, and this year, it falls on February 7th.

According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), locals, alongside pilgrims, are preparing to observe this auspicious night with reverence and piety. Communities were abuzz with preparations for the solemn occasion throughout the day.

One of the focal points of the Shab-e-Mehraj observance is the revered Dargah Hazratbal in Srinagar, where devotees from all walks of life are expected to converge.

Locals gather in these sacred spaces to offer supplications and seek blessings on this blessed night.

Meanwhile, the administration has taken elaborated measures and also issued the traffic advisory to ensure hassle free movement to the devotees—(KNO)
