Pahalgam, Feb 28: Following the recent snowfall, Pahalgam, the world-renowned tourist destination, experienced an increase of 30-40 percent in tourist flow, which is expected to continue.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Pahalgam Development Authority, Tariq Hussain Naik, told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that while there was already a favourable influx of tourists during the winter season, the recent snowfall has further bolstered tourism activity in Pahalgam.

Naik said the tourist footfall has risen by approximately 30-40 percent and they expect continued growth in the near future. “Despite dry weather conditions in January, Pahalgam welcomed around 60,000 tourists. This number has seen a notable increase in the current month following the fresh snowfall,” he said.
