Srinagar, Mar 14: An estimated 1200 people come to Srinagar’s Bilal Masjid on a daily basis to break their fast during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan.

The details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said an estimated 1200 people throng Srinagar’s Bilal Masjid on a daily basis in the month of Ramadan for ‘Iftiyari’.

A Masjid Committee member told KNO that they have been organizing this Iftar majlis since 2012, and people come here in large numbers on a daily basis.

“We don’t count the devotees, but an estimated 1000 to 1200 people come here on a regular basis. We serve ‘Iftiyar’ to them. As the masjid is located in the market, a large number of people offer prayers here on daily basis and in the month of Ramadan, the committee decided to come up with some special arrangements for the Muslims during the month of Ramdahan so that they will break their fast easily without facing any difficulties,” he said.

“We have established this facility specifically for those who belong to far-flung areas and cannot reach their homes on time, and with this motto, we started this iftar gathering for all, and everyone is welcomed here,” added the masjid committee member.

“We are happy with our work, and also satisfied with our services,” added the masjid authorities—(KNO)
