Anantnag Deserves a Vande Bharat Express Stop: Altaf Kaloo Appeals to Railway Ministry

Anantnag, Dec 4: National Conference leader and MLA Pahalgam, Altaf Kaloo, has urged the Union Railway Ministry to include Anantnag as a stoppage for the Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express, scheduled for launch in 2025.

In a statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), Kaloo appealed to Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, saying:
“Urging Hon’ble Minister of Railways @AshwiniVaishnaw to kindly consider adding Anantnag as a stoppage for the upcoming Delhi-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express. This step will greatly benefit the people of South Kashmir and boost regional connectivity.”

Highlighting the importance of the move, Kaloo noted that including Anantnag as a stop would improve accessibility for South Kashmir’s residents and serve as a catalyst for regional development by enhancing connectivity and boosting local economies.
