Jammu, Feb 08: Suspected terrorists opened fire on Indian Army personnel stationed along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Keri sector of Rajouri district today.
News agency KINS reported that the incident occurred in the afternoon in the forward area of the LoC and is believed to have been carried out by terrorists from across the border.
According to sources within the Indian Army, a few rounds were fired at the troops, who immediately retaliated by returning fire at the location from which the shots were fired.
The security forces have since initiated a search operation in the area.
The firing incident took place around 2 PM today near Baratgala in the Keri sector. Fortunately, no casualties or injuries have been reported at this time, and searches are ongoing to locate the attackers, sources confirmed.(KINS)
