Srinagar, Feb 13: A group of miscreants attacked an XUV-300 vehicle with a Haryana registration number in Tangmarg area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday afternoon, assaulting its five occupants—three men from Haryana and two women from South Kashmir.

When police arrived to rescue them, the assailants also attacked the team, injuring a Head Constable. Locals assisted in controlling the situation, and an FIR has been registered at Police Station Tangmarg.

Preliminary investigations suggest the incident stemmed from a road rage altercation in Srinagar, with multiple vehicles trailing the XUV-300 before intercepting it in Tangmarg.

Authorities have ruled out any unlawful or immoral activity involving the occupants.
