Four Bills, Including J&K Reorganisation Amendment Bill, to be Tabled in Lok Sabha Tomorrow

​Srinagar, Aug 19: The Union Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs has requested the Lok Sabha Secretariat to include the introduction of four new bills on its list of government business for Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

​According to an official document accessed by news agency JKNS, the bills to be introduced include,
​The Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, 2025.

​The Government of Union Territories (Amendment) Bill, 2025. ​The Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation (Amendment) Bill, 2025 and ​The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, it reads.

The agenda for Wednesday also includes the consideration of a motion to refer all three amendment bills the Constitution, Government of Union Territories, and Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation bills to a Joint Committee of both Houses of Parliament after their introduction.

​Additionally, the list of business for the Lok Sabha on Wednesday includes a special discussion on “India’s first astronaut abroad and the International Space Station-Critical Role of Space Program for ‘Viksit Bharat by 2047’.”

Any item carried over from Wednesday’s list will be taken up on Thursday, August 21, 2025, it reads. (JKNS)
