Anantnag, Sept 18: Jammu and Kashmir’s renowned Waste Warrior and former Sarpanch Adv Farooq Ganai, popularly known as ‘The KachraMan of Kashmir’ represented Kashmir at a National Dialogue on Rural Development themed “Viksit Gram Se Viksit Bharat” held at the QCI’s head Quarter in New Delhi recently.
The initiative brought grass root level leaders from across India to exchange strategies for strengthening rural Governance and development. Union Jal Shakti Minister C R Patil addressed the gathering, highlighting the Jal Shakti Abhiyan and stressing the importance of ‘Jal Sanchay Jan Bhagidari’. He said the new Imitative like Sarpanch Samvaad were crucial to foster inclusive, sustainable development.
The dialogue was part of broader effort to align village-Level governance with National development goals under the Viksit Bharat Vision and all the participants pledged to work for the development of Nation at village and Panchayat level.
Besides others, Chairman QCI Mr. Jaxay Shah, Union Secretary for JJM, Union Secretary RDD and Governing Body member Mr. Himanshu patel spoke on the occasion.
During the one day conference of more than 75 Sarpanches from all states joined the conclave and Mr Kuldeep ji from Ramban district of Jammu also participated and shared their ideas and work done on various themes and also held an open dialogue over the subject “Viksit Gram Se Viksit Bharat”, Adv Farooq Ganai, who is known for many initiatives to make India clean and Green underlined the importance for empowerment of Panchayat’s to realize the vision of a developed India through sustainable solutions so as to make the village’s vibrant and self reliant villages.
The Platform enabled the participants and policy makers to share best practices and collaborative Ideas that will make our Nation a developed state.
He termed the event as a unique initiative to make India a developed Nation by 2047. “The event highlighted citizen-centric initiatives, quality service delivery, and grassroots leadership. As the sole representative from Kashmir, I brought forth the region’s unique perspectives and experiences.
Extending his gratitude to the organizers, Ganai lauds the role of Union Minister for JJM, Union Secretaries of JJM & RDD besides QCI for their commendable efforts in fostering a strong nation through inclusive and quality-driven governance.
The Quality Council of India (QCI) is an autonomous body established in 1997 to promote quality standards across various sectors in India with Key Objectives to Establish and operate national accreditation structures, Promote quality through National Quality Campaign, Improve quality standards in key areas like education, healthcare, environment, governance, and infrastructure, to Enhance competitiveness of Indian enterprises, particularly MSMEs
Commenting over the Infra structure of Quality Council of India and efforts of Sarpanch Samvaad, Ganai sum up the whole event in one word and equate QCI at par with WHO, when it comes to dream of Hon’ble PM’s Mission ‘viksit Gram Se Viksit Bharat’.
While sharing the experience with media persons on the side lines of the event, Ganai said, “I was wondered to see the working of Team QCI and request its officials to extend to work on various sectors including education, Waste Management, and implementation of GOIs citizen centric policies at grass root level to make Kashmir schools a drug free destination with clean and green environment in and around schools and government establishments. Though Jammu and Kashmir police has been curbing the Drug menace 24 X 7 but needs more vibrancy and peoples support is must for 100% results in a collaborative manner.
Ganai counted the changes and cycle of development that took place post 2019 and thanked the LG led administration for its efforts to reach out to every nook and corner with the message of Hon’ble PMS mission of Viksit Bharat.
He appreciates all security agencies particularly Jammu and Kashmir Police and Army for maintaining peace in the region which is important for the overall development of any country.
