Old AK Rifle Recovered from Riverbank in Rajouri

Rajouri, Jan 25: An old AK rifle was recovered from the riverbank of Munnawar River in village Ambkhori of Sunderbani area in Rajouri district on Sunday.

Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, a local resident noticed the firearm lying near the riverside at Ambkhori village and immediately informed the police.

Following the information, Security forces rushed to the spot along with a police team and recovered the old AK rifle from the area.

They said the weapon has been taken into custody and further investigation has been initiated to ascertain how the rifle reached the riverbank and whether it has any links to past unlawful activities. (KNC)
