Brother Killed, Another Injured in Pattan Road Accident

Pattan, Jan 29: A man died and his brother was injured after a truck collided with their vehicle in north Kashmir’s Pattan area on Thursday morning, officials said.

An official told news agency Kashmir News Service, that the accident occurred at Hyderbeigh when a truck (registration number JK03E 8418), traveling from Srinagar to Baramulla, collided with an Eco vehicle (JK04H 7988) coming from the opposite direction.

The driver of the Eco, identified as Javid Ahmad Najar, son of Ghulam Nabi Najar of Hygam, died in the collision, an official said.

His brother, Rayees Ahmad, who was also in the vehicle, sustained injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital before being referred to JVC Hospital in Srinagar for further treatment, the official added.
