Misused Drugs Worth Over ₹5.5 Lakh Seized in Mendhar, Probe Launched to Bust Racket

Mendhar, Jan 29: In a major crackdown on drug misuse, authorities on Thursday seized a large consignment of misused pharmaceutical drugs, including Pregabalin 300 mg and Tapentadol 100 mg, from a DTDC courier facility in Mendhar, dealing a significant blow to the growing drug menace in the region.

As per news agency Kashmir News Corner — KNC, Under the supervision of Drug Inspector Mr. Vikas Kumar, a major seizure of Pregabalin 300 mg and Tapentadol 100 mg was made today from DTDC Courier, Mendhar. The seized drugs are estimated to be worth approximately ₹5,57,500.

According to the Drug Inspector, these medicines are being misused, especially by the youth, posing a serious drug menace to society. The seizure is a significant step towards curbing drug abuse in the region.

Further investigation is underway to identify and dismantle the network involved in this drug abuse racket. The authorities have reiterated their commitment to take strict legal action against all those involved.
