Living in a tin shed, laborers daughter fights off poverty and tops Class X exam in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Feb 27: Mohammad Ayoub, working as a labourer in nearby fields and living in tin shed from last many years made sure that his low income does not come in the way his children’s studies. On Sunday, his efforts paid off as her daughter has secured 97.8 percent marks in the matriculation and make her family feel proud.

Parveena Ayoub from a weak family background, her father’s daily earnings made their meal at night, having no other source of income is living in Latiwaza village of Ganderbal got 489 marks in class 10th board exams and become the topper from the vicinity.

Parveena started his education from government middle school kurhama up to 8th then went for higher education to Government Higher secondary school Kurhama.

“I had never thought that my daughter will score a good mark rank in matriculation exams but with mercy of allah and her hard work paid her back” said her father Mohammad ayoub.

Talking to Asia News Observer, Parveena said that “I am thankful to my parents who helped me in securing this rank in the area. Living in Tin shed from many years. I feel proud as I am getting appreciations from everyone here, which inspires me more. ”

Sitting in front at her humble Tin Shed Parveena said, “I generally used to study during the day because studying at night became difficult due to erratic power supply here. There were times when power connections were snapped at night, and I had to study in candle or in torch light.”

During the preparation period i would forgot what sleep is and would burn my midnight oil to qualify and become the doctor which is also my aim since childhood.

Parveena has 4 siblings, belonging to a Poor family, living in a tin shed from year’s and having no other source of income only father’s daily work made their meal at night.

Her father, Mohammad Ayoub Chechi said that “I am thankful to Allah for bestowing this success to my daughter and thankful for her teachers who supported and showed a track of success to my daughter.

At the end of his interview with this reporter at her home, parveena says in a motivational tune that “when you have a big dream you need immense patience, Perseverance and unflinching passion”.

On this earth everyone has his own personal problems which demotivated him/her every time, to face and to get through is the only way to succeed, always learn to fight and don’t give up, she added.
