Srinagar, Apr 06: As the winter power schedule continues in view of frequent wet spells across Kashmir, the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Tuesday said that it will ensure adequate electricity in the month of Ramadhan especially at Sehri and Iftari time.

“To ensure that the people will not suffer in the holy month of Ramadhan, we have prepared plans for supplying adequate electricity at Sehri and Iftari time across the Valley,” Mir Lateef, In Charge Chief Engineer KPDCL told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO)

“We had plans to come up with fresh power schedule, but the process got halted due to the frequent wet spells across Kashmir,” he said, adding that the load has been increasing soon after it rains, thus the fresh schedule got simultaneously delayed.

“The new power schedule for the Valley will be announced in next few days,” he said.
