How will LPG subsidy be resumed?
Along with petrol and diesel, the prices of LPG cylinders are also on the sky. In such a situation, if you want to re-start the subsidy on LPG cylinder of Rs 809, then you can easily do this. For this, you will have to give the letter to your Gas Agency. In this application, we have to write the matter of re-starting the subsidy. With this application you will need to copy an ID proof, address proof, gas connection papers and income proof.
When you give the application, the gas agency also gives you a form. After filling it, you will have to freeze it. The gas agency will verify your application and if found correct, your subsidy will be started. It takes about a week. You will get more information from your gas dealer.
Who gets LPG subsidy
You should know that the benefit of subsidy is given only to those whose annual income should be up to 10 lakh rupees. If it exceeds, the subsidy will be automatically stopped. To give direct benefit of gas subsidy to LPG customers, the government has linked their gas connections to bank account and Aadhaar card. Oil companies send the amount of cylinder subsidy on every cylinder to the beneficiary’s bank account. People get cylinders at a lower price than this.
What’s Give It Up Campaign
The government had launched this campaign to get the benefit of gas subsidy to the needy. In which it was appealed to the people that if they are able to buy LPG without subsidy, then they should leave the subsidy from their mind. After this initiative of the government, many people gave up LPG subsidy. But slowly the prices of LPG increased so much that they felt the need for subsidy again.
