Post GDS Recruitment 2021: 10th Pass Candidates Can Apply for These 4368 Posts

Srinagar, Apr 30: India Post has released the notification for inviting applications for Gramin Dak Sevaks for the Bihar and Maharashtra circle. There is a total number of 4368 vacancies. The last date of application is May 26, 2021. The interested candidates can apply for the post by logging in to http://appost.in/gdsonline.

Vacancy details: There is a total number of 4368 vacancies for the posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks for the Bihar and Maharashtra circle. There are 1940 posts for Bihar circle and remaining 2428 posts for Maharashtra circle.

Posts: The recruitment will take place for the following posts:
1) Branch Postmaster (BPM)
2) Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)
3) Dak Sevak

Pay: The following minimum TRCA shall be payable to the categories of GDS as mentioned in
Directorate Order No.17-31/2016-GDS dated 25.06.2018:
1) For BPM – Rs 12000 (Minimum TRCA for 4 hours/Level 1 in TRCA Slab) and Rs 14,500 (Minimum TRCA for 5 hours/Level 2 in TRCA slab)
2) ABPM/Dak Sevak – Rs 10000 (Minimum TRCA for 4 hours/Level 1 in TRCA Slab) and Rs 12000 (Minimum TRCA for 5 hours/Level 2 in TRCA slab)

Educational qualification: The interested candidates must note that in order to apply for the posts, secondary school examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics, local language and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective) conducted by any recognised board will be compulsory.

Age limit: The minimum and maximum of age for the purpose of engagement to GDS posts will be 18 and 40 years, respectively as on April 27, 2021. A relaxation of up to five years is applicable for the candidates belonging to the SC/ST categories while a relaxation of up to three years is applicable for the candidates belonging to the OBC categories.

Last date and link: The last date to apply for the GDS posts is May 26, 2021. For further details and for online application, the interested eligible candidates are requested to login at http://appost.in/gdsonline.
