Pulwama, May 11: A nurse in Pulwama working at district hospital Pulwama has vaccinated over 6000 people against the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
Tabasum Ara, a resident of Payar Village of Pulwama which is around 3 kilometers from the main town comes daily and vaccinates over 300 persons on a daily basis.
Tabasum Ara while talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), said that since vaccination started on January 16 this year, she has single handedly vaccinated over 6000 people at the hospital.
“On daily basis I vaccinate over 300 persons now and motivate dozens of people to take the vaccine,” she said.
During the initial stage everyone was hesitant and she has motivated hundreds of healthcare and front line workers to take vaccinations as after proper counselling everyone was taking the jab happily.
“Vaccinating people in times of pandemic is challenging as one has to go home in the evening and you don’t want to become a Covid carrier for your family, she said.
She said that those who are yet to take a vaccine must come forward and get it at an earliest because even after taking a vaccine if anyone comes positive, persons remain asymptomatic and severity is very less.
“Vaccine is must to beat the deadly virus, so everyone must come forward to get it and beat the Covid,” she said—(KNO)
